Bring Back Goth
Bring Back Goth
Bring Back Goth

Intro
This campaign explores the idea of bringing Gothic architecture back into the modern city through a series of editorial-inspired advertisements. I created this advertisement campaign for The New York Times, useing the visual language of traditional Gothic architecture dramatic imagery, black and white photography, and historic typography to challenge the contemporary preference for minimalism and glass-and-steel construction. The campaign was designed across print, subway advertising, and large scale outdoor media, creating a cohesive visual identity that invites viewers to reconsider what modern architecture could look like. By contrasting monumental Gothic forms with the density of New York City, the work presents Gothic architecture not simply as a style of the past, but as an expressive and human alternative for the future.
